I’m sending this beacon to call upon all of the artists in this world. Yes, you. You are an artist even if you may not know it yet.
Whether it’s through a canvas, or through the way you perform actions upon the world, you are creating. This is your core and truest self. An artist is a way of being — yet, when you try to be, you lose your muse immediately.
Some never lose their artistic spirit. Others get glimpses of it in their childhood and then ever so often again in adulthood. Some will go on searching their entire lives for what they’ve lost, not knowing that what they are seeking is right here, and has been, since their first breath.
If you are brave enough to face your true self, then sit in silence, close your eyes, and look deep within. You may just find it there, sitting in your center. Wake up.
Wake up and nurture this dormant energy, for you will start walking this world a little differently and life’s wonders will open up around you. Find it and dance again. Feel. Surrender. Create. Express. Love.
And finally, let go of the idea that you are an artist.
Then, you will see that you are just life, exploring itself. You are art and art is you. There is no one else here but creation.
